Application and prospect of artificial intellingence in diabetes care

Abstract Diabetes is one of the fastest-growing non-communicable diseases, becoming an important public health concern worldwide as well in China. Currently, China has largest population living with diabetes. Artificial intelligence (AI) a fast-growing field and its applications to diabetes could enable delivery better management services for people This perspective summarized latest findings digital technologies AI use following areas care, mainly including screening risk predictions diabetic complications, precise monitoring intervention combined new technologies, mobile application self-management support Challenges promote further care included data standardization integration, performance AI-based medical devices, motivation patients, sensitivity privacy. In summary, although clinical practice still at early stage, we are moving toward paradigm rapid development emerging AI.
